iHeart: #1 for Radio, Podcasts App Reviews

They used to let you listen without having to give your email, phone and address. Now you cant avoid giving them data in which to sell and track with. No more optional data, you are forced to give them every personal contact data. Ill go back to handheld radios, no thanks. Your not worth it cumulus radio station, go mine it the hard way. Update: I heart radio has a non negotiable track your location app and always has the status on your location on, running in the background eating power. Continuous (based on your location run iHeart Radio!) bar at the bottom of the screen around the house. Every time I go to change brightness or turn Bluetooth on / off all the sudden the app starts running when it was never opened and I didnt start it. The second I get a small am radio taped the the phone Im dumping this program. I do t like updates about my location.

This app is even better than I thought it to be! You either have to make an account (or an alternative) use your Google account. Thanks for the Google alternative, this app is working even with my iPod off! I would highly recommend this radio. (One more detail; Get two free 30 day trials!)???????

This app does the job its supposed to do. The only thing I dont like its when you receive a call or have spotty service. You manually have to press play for stations to start again. Once you hang up a call it should automatically go back to the station. Same goes when there is a slight disconnection.

I drive 422 miles Monday thru Friday at night for work. I plug my phone in my truck radio and its on always. Awesome. The only negative is you hear the same commercials 100 times. Music is awesome.

First off, app works great for tuning in to stations all across the U.S. Of course it needs to be affiliated with iHeart so there are a few stations I like but cannot get on this app. I havent tried the music functions, only use it for radio. Sometimes Ive had cases where the radio is delayed by a couple minutes, not a big problem and it helps to prevent delays when you temporarily lose connectivity. One thing thats very annoying is if a station is started while on Wifi and you transition to cell but in an area that doesnt have cell service, even when cell service is restored the radio doesnt restart. I have to completely kill the app and restart it to play again. This might be an iPhone issue though. Another annoyance is the constant nagging to try the premium features for 30 days. I dont want to!!
